Bannerman Real Estate

Named for H. Bannerman, who settled the Belmont area in 1883, Bannerman is part of the Clairview district in north east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The western border is the Victoria Trail. 114th Avenue frames the north and 137th Avenue the south. The eastern part of the neighbourhood overlooks the North Saskatchewan River valley.

Over 77% of the homes in Bannerman were built in the 1970s. The remainder were completed in the 1980s with the development considered complete by 1990. Single family homes make up 46% of the housing market, followed by row houses at 36%. Most of the remaining homes; almost 17% are rentals in apartment buildings with fewer than five stories along with a handful of duplexes. Nearly 72% of homes are owner occupied.

There is one school within the neighbourhood borders, the Bannerman Elementary Junior High School, part of the Edmonton Public School System. Clareview Village Shopping Centre is nearby on the Victoria Trail. A bit further to the west is Clareview Town Centre. The Clareview LRT station is just to the west of Bannerman along 137th Avenue.
