Bellevue Real Estate
The rather smallish residential area of Bellevue is located in north east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The neighbourhood overlooks the North Saskatchewan River, whose valley makes up the southern border. The north is framed by 118th Avenue (otherwise known as Alberta Avenue), the west by Wayne Gretzky Drive and the east by 67th Street. Wayne Gretzky drive leads to Whyte Avenue and the University of Alberta’s Faculty St. Jean, to the south.
Almost 22% of the homes were built before the end of World War II. Another 60% were completed between 1946 and 1960. The remaining 12% were built between 1961 and 2001. The development is considered complete.
The single family home is the most common type of residence found comprising 96% of the housing inventory. Apartments in low rise buildings of less than five stories make up 3% and one triplex makes up the remaining 1%. Nearly 76% of homes are occupied by their home owners.
Two schools service the area. The Bellevue Elementary School and Eastglen High School are both part of the Edmonton Public School system. Rexall Place, home to the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings hockey teams,, is just outside the area to the north west. The Coliseum LRT station is adjacent to the arena. Just to the west of the area, along 112th Avenue is the Commonwealth Stadium, home of the Edmonton Eskimos CFL team.
