Bergman Real Estate
The neighbourhood of Bergman, in east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is named after Gustav C. Bergman, one time mayor of the neighbouring town of Beverly, which was incorporated in 1914. Bergman is just to the north of the Beverly town site. The southern boundary is 122nd Avenue, the northern is the Yellowhead Trail and 50th Street is the western edge. 34th Street frames the east.
The town of Beverly joined with Edmonton in 1961 and roughly 80% of the construction dates from after that time period. The largest growth occurred in the 1980s, when almost one third of the homes were constructed. The majority of the homes in Bergman are single family properties but there are a few duplexes in the neighbourhood. Over 95% of the homes in Bergman are occupied by their owners.
Bergman Park is in the north of the neighbourhood, bordering the Yellowhead Trail. Abbottsfield Shopping Mall is to the south east, on the other side of 34th Street and Hermitage Square can be reached by going north on 50th Street. Beacon Heights Elementary School, part of the Edmonton Public School System, serves the area.
