Sales of all residential homes in June were similar to May, but down significantly when compared to June of 2015. According to the chair of the  REALTORS® Association of Edmonton, Steve Sedgwick, “Inventory remains high and buyers continue to have good selection. This is welcome particularly to those looking in the popular $350,000 to $450,000 single family price range.” 

In the single family home sector, it took about 50 days to sell a house and sales were down by 16% when compared to June of 2015. The average price came in at $435,366 which is a decrease of 1.2% compared to May, and 1.8% compared to last June. There were 1,117 single family homes sold in the month of June, while there were 1,672 active listings.
