Buena Vista Real Estate
Buena Vista is a part of the Laurier Heights neighbourhood in the western part of the city. This is the part of the community that runs along Buena Vista Road, thus the name. The names are interchangeable.
Buena Vista is bordered by the Saskatchewan River valley on the east and south east edges. The northern border is 97th Avenue, west of 142nd Street and Buena Vista Road where it runs east of 142nd Street and west of Valley View Crescent. The western edge is framed by 149th street and the south by Whitemud Drive.
Nearly 58% of the residences were built after World War II, between 1946 and 1960. The remainder were built between 1961 and 1970. Almost all of the residences are single family homes. There are two senior homes in the area.
There is an elementary and junior high that is part of the public school system services the area. The Laurier Heights Shopping Centre is an adjacent strip mall. Buena Vista Road gives access to the Edmonton Valley Zoo and both Laurier and Buena Vista Parks. Hawrelak Park is accessed via a foot bridge on the north east side of the neighbourhood.
