Evergreen Real Estate
Evergreen Mobile Home Park is located in the north eastern end of the City of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is in a rural setting, being in the part of the city known as the Rural North East South Sturgeon just to the north west of Meridian Street and 167th Avenue.
The park was established in 1970, with most of the growth in the park occurring between 1970 and 1979. Over half of the homes were moved into the neighbourhood at that time. The number of homes grew to about 700 by 1987 when a tornado did considerable damage to the park. Evergreen has recovered nicely and is back up to a total of 640 homes, most of which are owner occupied.
Schools are available in the nearby Clareview and Bannerman neighbourhoods. Evergreen has full city bus service, and is only an eight minute ride to Londonderry Mall and six minutes from Manning Crossing which has medical facilities. The Evergreen Commercial Centre offers a supermarket, gas station, auto repair shop, dress shop and a bar & grill.
Evergreen is outdoor friendly. There are several hiking, biking and walking trails in the area. Residents have access to a baseball diamond, a skating rink, a large picnic area and a full size playground. There are several classes and community associations that offer activities for people both young and old.
