Fulton Place Real Estate
Fulton Place, sometimes referred to as Hardisty, is named for a creek that runs along the neighbourhood’s western border. Located in south east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Fulton Place is home to both the Hardisty Fitness and Leisure Centre and the Michael Cameron Arena. Two public schools, the Fulton Place School and Hardisty Junior High School service the area.
The north is bordered by 106th Avenue, the south by 101st Avenue, the east by 50th Street and the west and south west are fronted by Fulton Creek Ravine. 106th Avenue leads to Wayne Gretzky Drive that takes residents to Edmonton Northlands, Rexall Place and other areas north of the North Saskatchewan River. To the south 98th Avenue provides access to downtown Edmonton.
Fulton Place was founded prior to the end of World War II but it was not until after the war that building started in earnest. Almost 80% of homes were constructed between 1946 and 1960. The decade of the 1960s added an additional 10% to the residential home inventory and then building tapered off after 1970. Almost 86% of homes are single family structures, followed by rented apartments, 6% and duplexes at 1%. The remaining 7% are classified as “other”. Roughly 85% of residential inventory is owner occupied.
