The Greenview neighbourhood of south east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, came into being in the 1970s with most of its residences being built in that decade as well as the 1980s. Over 97% of the properties were built within the span of those two decades. The single family home accounts for 72% of residences followed by 18% being row houses. The remainder are split between duplexes and low rise apartments of less than five stories. Roughly 83% of the residential inventory is occupied by the owners.
This is one of the more affluent areas of Edmonton and it is not surprising that its northern border fronts the Mill Woods Golf Course. Lovers of the sport can tee off here or at a number of golf courses that dot the Edmonton area.
There is one public school in the area, Greenview Public School. The area is also home to the Jackie Parker Recreation area, which is close to the Mills Woods Golf Course. The park is perfect for small groups or family picnics. One seating area has a unique outdoor fireplace. A trail loops the small lake which has been kept in its natural state.
