Kernohan Real Estate
Kerohan, which got its name from an early farmer who also operated a grocery store in the area in the 1880s and 1890s, is located in north east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is part of the Clareview area. The western boundary is the Victoria Trail and to the north is 137th Avenue. The North Saskatchewan River valley is on the eastern edge and the Kennedale Ravine is to the south.
Residential development started in the 1960s, but the majority of homes, almost 54% were completed in the 1970s. Over 10% of properties were completed in the 1980s with the remaining 27% in the 1990s.
The single family home makes up 62% of the housing market. This is followed by row houses at 20%, duplexes at 12% and apartment style condominiums in buildings with less than five stories at 5%. Nearly 90% of the properties are owner occupied.
The closest LRT station is at Clareview, to the west of the neighbourhood via 137th Avenue. The closest shopping mall is Clareview Town Centre, to the north west. One school is in the area, the Anne Fitzgerald Catholic Elementary School, part of the Edmonton Catholic System.
