Kiniski Gardens Real Estate
The triangle shaped Kiniski Gardens is in the Mill Woods area of south east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and is the namesake of the 1960s political figure Julia Kiniski. The neighbourhood is part of the Burnewood district. Kiniski Gardens is surrounded by the Larkspur and Wild Rose neighbourhoods to the east, Michau to the south west and Jackson Heights in the north west.
Roughly 7% of the housing inventory was built in the 1970s then construction picked up in the 1980s to contribute an additional 41% of the homes. Most of the remaining residences were built during the 1990s. Single family homes make up 95% of the residential offerings, with a combination of low rise apartments and duplexes making up the rest. Residences are 89% owner occupied.
The eastern boundary is 34th Street. The other borders become a bit more interesting. A utility corridor between 34th Street and Whitemud Drive and 40th Avenue form the north west boundary. The south west border is a combination of the utility corridor at 40th Avenue and 34th Street between 34th and 35th Avenues.
Two schools, the Julia Kiniski Elementary, a public school and the Blessed Kateri Catholic Elementary Junior High School service the area.
