Southern Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is home to Parkallen residential area just east of the Neil Crawford Centre and the University of Alberta Farm. Most of the residential area was built between the end of World War II and 1960 and about 80% are single family homes. The rest consists of low rise apartments of five stories or less, duplexes and row houses.

About two thirds of the neighbourhood’s housing units are owner occupied. Parkallen has a relatively mobile population with just under half of the residents living in the same home for five years or more. It has very good access to the main campus of the University of Alberta via 113th Street.

Parkallen is bordered by 71st Avenue to the north, 61st Avenue to the south, 113th Street to the west and 109th Street to the east. When completed the South Campus LRT station, located west of the Neil Crawford Centre, will provide excellent light rail access.
