Located in the Mill Woods area of south Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Pollard Meadows is part of the Southwood community. The western border is 50th Street and the northern is 23rd Avenue. Mill Woods Road frames the southern and eastern edges.
Development began in the 1970s when just over 44% of the residences were constructed. The 1980s saw the majority of the building, contributing 45% of the housing inventory. Most of the remaining homes were put up in the early 1990s. Pollard Meadows is not yet considered to be complete by the City of Edmonton.
A little less than half or 45% of the homes are single family structures. Rental apartments make up 26% and row houses follow at 22%. Duplexes make up the remaining 7%. Roughly 61% of the homes are occupied by their owners.
Three schools service the neighbourhood. Edmonton Public School System operates the Pollard Meadows Elementary School and the T.D. Baker Junior High. The Holy Family Junior High is part of the Edmonton Catholic School System. Shopping is available at the nearby Mill Woods Town Centre in nearby Mill Woods.
