Quesnell Heights Real Estate

Located in southwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Quesnell Heights is part of three neighbourhoods that share common facilities. The area is bordered by the Patricia Ravine in the southwest, by Whitemud drive in the north and the Saskatchewan River frames the south eastern section. Quesnell Heights is in the area east of 149th Street.

Quesnell was first developed in the 1960s. Almost 83% of the homes were constructed in that decade, with the remainder being added in the 1970s. All of the homes in Quesnell are single family homes and almost 100% are occupied by their owners.

All three neighbourhoods are in a triangular shaped part of town which uses two bridges to gain access to the rest of Edmonton. Both bridges, one at 156th Street, the other at 159th Street cross Whitemud Drive. From these points Quesnell can easily travel to Whyte Avenue, the University of Alberta and the popular West Edmonton Mall. Local malls include the Meadowlark Park Centre and the Pacific Heights Shopping Centre.

The Pacific Heights Elementary School and the Rio Terrace Elementary School, both public offerings and the Catholic Our Lady of Victories Elementary School service the area. Edmonton Transit System offers transport to the two closest high schools, the Catholic St Francis Xavier and the public Jasper Place High School. The three neighbourhoods share a community centre.
