Virginia Park Real Estate
Virginia Park is located in the north east corner of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Saskatchewan River frames its southern border and Northlands Park is its northern edge. Wayne Gretzky Drive is on the eastern end. The western boundary gets interesting. It runs south along Borden Park on 78th Street, and then heads east along 112th Avenue. From there it veers south along 76th Street until it gets to the river valley.
The area was originally created prior to World War I, but over 75% of the homes were constructed after World War II. The majority of residences are apartments in buildings of less than five stories, followed by single family homes. Roughly 50% of homes in Virginia Park are owner occupied.
The area is known for being home to Concordia University College. Besides the college, the Concordia High School and Virginia Park Elementary School, part of the Edmonton Public System, are also in the area. Borden Park is a popular recreational area. Rexall Place is to the north via Wayne Gretzky Drive. Highlands and Riverside Golf Courses are to the south.
